TAX REFORM

     Taxation should be used to fund the things that our government is Constitutionally obligated to do, like maintaining our military, infrastructure, etc. Our tax code should not be designed and modified to encourage or discourage certain types of behavior. Your tax rate should not be a factor of who you are and what you do. I believe you should pay taxes based on what you choose to spend. (read more)
 

EDUCATION

 
     Our Federal government has failed from the very beginning of their control of the education system. I will work to eliminate the Federal Department of Education, and instead support a system where block grants are distributed to the respective states to run their own school systems.  (read more)

     There is no question the United States military rules any battlefield to which it is committed. This should never change. We have and should maintain the most elite and feared fighting force in the world. All needed support should be given this force to make sure the commitment and outcome is never in question.  (read more)

     I would divide social security into a safety net division and a retirement division. The safety net side would be funded totally by the government contributions. The retirement side would have options which would include personal selection of individual accounts. (read more)
